This bench is produced from solid mahogany with hand-carved details all the way from the scrolled arms to the gadrooned (rope edged) skirt and on downwards to the cabriole legs which feature acanthus carvings as well as ball and claw feet. Useful throughout the home the bench also has a seat which raises to reveal a storage space initially intended to hold sheet music.

This is a beautiful piece. Very elegant but also very sturdy. It is a little larger than it appears so be sure to measure your area. The fabric is also a little darker cream and light goldenrod. It was well packed and delivered in perfect condition. I have it in my entry hall against my staircase and can easily move it into my living room as extra seating. Bench is beautiful however came with multiple problems. Sent with 1 screw missing, and 4 wrong long screws. When I tried screwing them in they pushed out the fabric and nailhead. Had to hurry and unscrew to make fabric go back in place. Had a dirty fork looking spot on side, legs had white residue all over them. What a headache!! If it wasn’t so beautiful I would of sent back but everything worked out with some TLC. The dirty spot wiped off, I used brown shoe polish on the legs which hid the white spots on legs. Wayfair sent me the right screws for the legs and the spot that pushed out went in mostly. It just has 1 nailhead that is a little pushed out so I turned that side to the back.
