It works for holding single LP's. It is roomy enough inside the frame to hold an album with a sleeve and the magnet used to keep the lid on seems strong enough, but it isn't super strong so you need to make sure nothing is caught while closing the frame. Easy and beautiful material to work with but measure before starting. I created a small feature wall (still not done) using 2 boxes, & didn't want to apply glue to the wall so bought 4x8 ply backing, then had to trim the wood slightly. Love how it's turning out..
