Ceiling rings are often used in conjunction with ceiling medallions in highlighting focal points like chandeliers and ceiling fans. However, ceiling rings can also be used on the wall to accent mirrors, photos, and photo frames.

I had installed a medallion when we replaced our chandelier. I was disappointed because the medallion was too small for the fixture. This ceiling ring was perfect to give the illusion of a larger medallion without having to start over! It would also be useful when the medallion you love is too small for what you need- more intentional than was my case. Calculating the size I needed was the tricky part! With the medallion, this ring, and the ceiling between the two painted the same color, it appears that I have a much larger medallion than I actually have. If you're not ashamed then you should be. I ordered five of these items and it was a mixture of different kinds of screws, rod thread lengths, and finishes. One type of screw tightened the thing down, the other type did not. I get it that if these cost a dollar each it might warrant the poor quality of the order, but for the price NOT WORTH IT! This thing is massive. It has a beautiful copper color and it has several different shades of a copper and gold, I love that it can be used on a slanted ceiling. It wasn’t too hard to adjust and make it even. I read the dimensions before I ordered it, but I still didn’t understand how big this was. It gives off a soft light. It’s definitely not as bright as I wanted it to be. It was super easy to install, and it was also pretty easy to make it level. The only thing I wished is that it would give off a brighter light. But it is super beautiful. And if you have a foyer that you’re looking for a light for this would be perfect.
