The bed itself is beautiful and looks great in my guest bedroom—it feels solid and well-made, which is the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars. Unfortunately, everything else went downhill from there. As is often the case with Wayfair, the item arrived damaged. The wood had visible dings, screws were missing, and the shipment came in two boxes delivered on separate days, which delayed assembly. Putting it together wasn’t smooth either. The instructions were fairly clear, but the screw holes didn’t align properly, making it impossible to assemble the bed perfectly.. Caryn. US. I ordered the queen size in espresso. I was able to build this by myself in under 2 hours. I just put the Golden Girls on the tv and started building! The socket wrench was a blessing. I have a drill but I didn’t need it. The instructions were easy to follow. I took the suggestion of another reviewer and placed the nonskid pads on the legs before assembly. Makes a big difference. I ordered this bed to go with my headboard (also from Wayfair) and it is a perfect color match! However, there are no holes in the bed in order to connect them. No big deal to me, I'll just zip tie them if I have to. So far there have been no issues with sturdiness. The height description is accurate. I wish there had been a 14 inch height option. The top of my mattress sits at about 28 inches from the ground so I feel like I'm a little too high up, but I will get used to it. I chose this bedframe based on the solid wood look from the photos. It did take two people an hour to assemble. The directions online are a bit more detailed than the ones that come in the box. Luckily, all the parts and pieces were accounted for. The wooden slats that will hold the mattress are rather warped and twisted. There are a few wooden dowels imbedded in the frame that line up with a few of the slats. As you can see from the photo, if you get one side to sit on the dowel, the other side is not making contact. We are pretty happy with the platform bed. Very protected in the box. The instructions were only pics, which was easy to understand. Assembly took about an hour with two people, and while it could definitely be done solo, having an extra set of hands made the process much smoother and faster. Everything arrived well-packaged and carefully protected with Styrofoam, so there was no damage at all. Pleased with my purchase. The queen size bed frame and headboard came in excellent condition. The construction appears solid. Assembly took less than 30 minutes. However, if you arent very familiar with furniture assembly instructions, you may struggle a little as none of the pieces were labeled with the numbers used in the instructions. We went on a limb and got this bed without any reviews so I am the first one! I honestly love this bed. The first two pieces that I took out of the box though…… they don’t look good BUT they were the only bad pieces of wood. Everything is SOLID and good bolts. The bolts did come in a bag, mixed together but having the instructions helped us figure out what was what.
