I am not going to lie. I was leery, but my expectations were exceeded just on the packaging alone! Took me about an hour to put together, instructions were easy-ish to follow. The operation is smooth, very quiet when moving up/down. The wiring threw me off a bit, as the light controller is in the box with the desk and everything else is in the box with the frame. I am very pleased, it feels sturdy. Caution, the box with the frame is much heavier than expected, but you can tell quality went into the making. Didn't have to program the motors or calibrate them. The cup holder is a nice touch for sure! I do wish it came with a PC tower holder, but there was room on top for the desktop. I am a developer, not a gamer, but it's perfect for my setup! The price is higher than many of the others but I chose this one, because the top is a solid piece and not split like a majority of the others. Great light, perfect brightness, love the tunability, and easy to install. While I appreciate that the light bars/tubes are inserted into the main fixture body for ease of installation, I think this creates the lights' only flaw. The light tubes is a loose fit into the main fixture. There is nothing securing and holding the bar out of place. I was rotating the bar to set the perfect angle and it would come out of the fixture. When it comes out of the fixture it resets the colour temperature to 6000K or it turns off completely, so you kinda have to set it in place, secure it into the fixture, and then adjust the colour temperature. It's a bit finnicky but once its set its perfect. If you plan to adjust the angle often for task lighting it may be a nuisance. Lu. Toronto. Sun May 10 2026

Slim, useful lights for dark spots These motion sensor lights are very handy. They are thin, simple looking, and the black finish makes them feel cleaner than a basic night light. The warm white glow is soft but still bright enough for stairs, hallways, closets, or a bedroom at night. I use these on a staircase that has a turn and sometimes gets dark at the turned stairway. They have remained charged for a month and always come on and are triggered from a good distance. I like that they are rechargeable and magnetic, so they can be removed easily when they need charging. The motion sensor works well, and the light looks smooth without harsh dots. Great product for the price. The LEDs make it easy to change colors. Easy to install. This is the 10" and we could have gone a little bigger for the space. Had we gone with the 13" we wouldn't have to touch up paint around it, but I also like that they aren't that noticeable and something bigger might have been too obtrusive as this is just a small rectangle between multiple rooms.
