The bed went together fairly easily, even with one person! For a few of the steps, I had it leaning on the wall with a blanket for extra protection, but the pieces went together smoothly with little extra effort. The most time consuming part was simply attaching the bed slats, which was quick with a drill. The bed is sturdy, and looks as pictured. It was delivered in a few pieces and required assembly on site, but it wasn’t so bad. That said, the manufacturer assembly instructions were sparse and the side boards were a different part number than the slats were intended to pair with, so we had to modify some of the assembly which was a little frustrating. This bed was so easy to put together. It’s great quality. I really like it. I got the chestnut color in a king and it goes great with the acorn night stands I also purchased from Wayfair. You will notice there is a bit of a lip around where your mattress sits. If you are not used to this you may pinch your legs the first couple days getting out of bed. I couldn't be happier with this bed! The 3D chevron headboard is absolutely stunning and gives the room a high-end, custom look. The first bed came with a through and through crack of one of the footboard legs as well as an opened joint at the juncture of the footboard crosspiece and the leg. We sent photos to customer service requesting a replacement piece. They sent an entire second bed. It arrived today. The leg was intact, but the footboard, once again, was not firmly attached, and a visible nonunion was noticed as soon as we examined that piece.
