The rain barrel looks as nice as the pictures. The mesh to keep the bugs out does not fits snuggly snuggly and I will need to add aluminum screen. There are two round cut outs near the top at the back of the rain barrel and I assume that’s for venting air as the barrel fills as well as when water is dispensed. Or I suppose it could be for overflow There was no diagram of the rain barrel explaining all the nuances. These rain barrels are repurposed from pre-used overseas food barrels. There may be slight scratching or scuffs due to previous overseas transportation. Since our rain barrels are made of High-Density Polyethylene Plastic they can be left outdoors even in the winter months so there is no need to modify your downspouts in the Spring and Fall. Most rain barrels on the market don't fully utilize the water they hold because the spigot is located about halfway up the barrel. This is to allow buckets to be filled but leaves about a quarter of the water behind. And this remaining water is standing which can be hazardous. Barrels with optimally located spigots don't allow room for buckets and leave only hoses as the draining option. This 50-stand solves these issues by lifting and supporting the 50 rain barrels off the ground. With increased elevation, the barrel can drain at a much faster rate. Any filling device can be easily placed below the spigot without awkward tilting or maneuvering.

I ordered 2 sizes of rain barrels and stands to match from same company. They changed shade of color somewhere along the line so not everything matched. Manufacturer told me to keep stands or donate which was nice since then I didnt have to package up and send back. Maybe they shouldve changed color name to new color so this wont happen to others. One does have to be careful though, because it is plastic it can break if it potentially falls. However it is pretty strong and well built. It holds quite a bit actually and if you have a smaller garden this should be good. If you have a bigger one maybe 2 or 3 of these should be sufficient. I bought this barrel and the diverter kit separately. Works best when you convert the top to a planter . This barrel is sturdy and was compatible with the eco station diverter kit. I bought 2 , and curiously enough one barrel came with 2 brass spigots and the other came with just one plastic spigot … plastic spigot does not look sturdy.. also the spigot cut out is low so you may want to elevate barrel for sufficient pressure, although you could cut your own hole and insert a spigot.
