Absolutely love this refrigerator. It is my first counter-depth refrigerator and I was very concerned there would not be enough room to store all our food in it. I have been pleasantly surprised with how much space there is and the third/middle drawer is an added bonus (I have been using it as a beverage drawer and have yet to use the freezer option). This is my second attempt at buying/using an ice maker. The first time I never worked and that’s bc it was a very poorly ventilated mobile home in Florida and the heat was too much. Now, I’m in a ‘regular’ home and thought I’d give it another’s try with this model and low and behold, this thing cranks out the ice non-stop and you don’t need to stand their while it’s doing it but it helps bc you do want to put the ice in your freezer - I used a metal mixing bowl and filled it to the top in mere minutes. It’s very easy to use, just pour water in, plug it in and about 9 cubes every 6 minutes as it states is true. I’m very pleased and I would whole-heartedly recommend this product fully.. Dean. I got this 14,000 BTU window AC for my workshop here in Florida, and honestly it’s been a lifesaver in the heat. My shop gets brutally hot during the afternoons, especially with tools running and the sun beating on the building, but this unit cools the space down way faster than I expected. Within about 15-20 minutes you can actually feel a huge difference. Installation was pretty straightforward, and once mounted it feels solid and secure. I like that it has multiple modes including eco, sleep, dehumidifier, and fan settings because Florida humidity is no joke. The dehumidifier feature really helps take that sticky feeling out of the air. It’s also quieter than I thought a 14,000 BTU unit would be. You can still comfortably work, listen to music, or have a conversation without it sounding like a jet engine. The remote and timer are convenient too since I can cool the shop before I head out there. I've had this unit for a year now and can attest to its reliability and performance. My condo has a small laundry closet and this is the only front-loading LG model that would fit. It is quiet and most of my laundry comes out clean and ready for the dryer. I find that the dryer actually works comparably to a vented dryer and it is easier on my clothes. My condo association discourages ventless dryers because of its prior experiences with water damage from leaks into other units which are not as much of an issue with the newer ventless technology. I love that I don't have to worry about pulling the unit out of the closet to periodically clean the dryer vent. My only issue is that sometimes laundry will come out with dry streaks indicating that the wash cycle was somehow not fully soaked the garments, even when stacked in the drum according to the manual. I purchased the LG LDTS5552S dishwasher and have experienced a persistent chemical odor since the beginning of ownership. The smell is difficult to describe precisely, but it resembles heated rubber, vinyl, petroleum products, or synthetic plastic. The odor becomes stronger as the dishwasher heats up and appears to be emitted from the lower vent area. The problem occurs even during normal operation without using the High Temp or Extra Dry settings. Over the past year I have tried numerous troubleshooting steps, including cleaning the filters repeatedly, running cycles without detergent, using dishwasher cleaning cycles, and removing additional plastic accessories from inside the machine. None of these actions resolved the issue. The dishes themselves do not retain the odor, but the heated air emitted by the dishwasher does. The smell is strong enough to travel beyond the kitchen and can sometimes be noticed on the second floor of the house. After more than a year of trying to live with this issue, I have stopped using the dishwasher altogether and returned to washing dishes by hand because I am not comfortable having my family continuously exposed to the odor. What concerns me most is that this odor appears whenever the appliance is heated, suggesting that materials inside the unit may be releasing volatile compounds into the air. I do not know whether LG has evaluated the long-term impact of breathing these emissions during routine daily use, but I believe this is a legitimate concern that deserves attention. I am disappointed because otherwise the dishwasher performs well. If LG is aware of this issue or has a solution, I would genuinely appreciate a response. This dryer is awesome. It seems like it takes longer than a normal dryer, but it really doesn't. We don't have to run it 3 times to dry towels. It can fit a lot of towels. It can dry our king size comforter with ease. It uses about 1/4 the power of our old normal dryer. It also is really good at removing pet hair from clothes.
