Excellent duck coop. Easy to set up with my grand childrens assistance. I added more layers of poultry wire and hardware cloth to the sides and top make break-ins more difficult. Also hardware cloth used as ground floor and apron covered with sod and then pine shavings. Placed the heavy duty XL anti-diggers around the perimeter. We have not had any intrusions in this set-up.. This is a very large run for the price, and it is sturdy, but there were some things that I wish I had been aware of. I might still have ordered it, but I was a tad disappointed. If you want a truly secure run, you will need to invest hardware cloth and sweat. On the positive side, the wire panels are sturdy, and the hardware is substantial. They are solid welded wire panels, put together with double brackets. It should do a good job of keeping out large predators. However, the gaps between panels are wider than they appear in the picture and there are large gaps to each side of the door The door is a duck-in door. It's about 3'3" tall, although quite wide. The third image shows that more clearly. The "roof" is a series of triangular trusses with cross beams, so while it is 6' at the peak, you have to watch your head. That said, it's plenty high enough for the chickens, and one can get in there to work, carefully. The roof is mostly canvas. The welded wire does not continue ANYWHERE that is under the canvas in the images. There is a big triangular opening at both ends. Quality control could have been a bit better, but pieces are well enough manufactured to be sufficient for it to function. Assembly is tedious, that's a lot of panels! What we are doing to make the run more secure is to put a 2' band of 1/2" hardware cloth up the sides, and also a 2' skirt of the same, staked and weighted down. The entire roof area will be covered with 1/2"-1" hardware cloth, and we will cut triangular panels to fill in the front and back. So I had a squirrel problem getting in my garden and this solved all my problems by being able to put everything inside together. We found it easy to assemble with everything included.My opinion to improve would be not zip ties as they rot and i bought metal rebar ties instead. Very cute. I've got mine set up as a chicken run. It's inside a chain link fence. It's stable, but not necessarily heavy duty (I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving my chickens overnight in it, even also inside the chain link fence. At 5'1, I can stand straight up inside it with plenry of room to spare. And I easily drag it all over my yard by myself which is convenient. Cage was exactly what I expected. We put a nesting box in for our broody chicken and her eggs. I think it will be perfect for when this weekend when chicks are born and they need to go outside. The flock will be able to see them and get use to them. I've never done this before so it will be interesting. The cage went together easily and when our hen is done we are planning on using it to plant clover and let it grow so hens can't eat it before its fully grown. When we're ready we can easily pick it up and move it to start something else to grown that they can't get into until we are ready. Easy assembly however it does take about 6 hours to but together. There were a few undrilled boards. Also the cover doesn't stay on with windy days with it being Velcro. It took longer to put together than I thought, but it’s perfect. My daughters and I are ecstatic! As for the little critters…. They seems very pleased so far. The chicken wire came with a hole in it, which we patched right up. Easy peasy. The directions were wonky. Everything is self explanatory except the hardware for lock. One tiny picture to show at one angle. And last the stakes to secure it are very flimsy, made me laugh. If you live in the PNW you’re going to want to get better ones to hold it down.
