It's really soft but I must say that it is on the thinner side. It stays in place well because of the rubber like texture on the back, which is a plus. This is a beautiful Puccio runner rug. It has nice thick feel and is very soft. The colors are a great neutral scheme. It is perfect for the entry from the sunroom and blends well into the dining room. The colors hide pet hair well. It is the perfect height for robot vacuums.
