Really like the color and the scalloped edges on this rug. The wool is dense and a short pile, which is exactly what we wanted. However, I had to take a point off because it arrived folded instead of rolled. While after a few days the big lumps are settling down, the straight line indent where it was folded is still there. This rug is great for what we needed. We were looking for something with a decent pile but not shag. We didn't want to spend a fortune but also didn't want a cheap rug. The rug does feel cushion-ey under the feet, but we do also have a rug pad under it. I wouldn't say the material feels super soft and luxurious to touch, but it feels soft enough and comfortable enough for bare feet, or sitting on it. The rug arrived folded, in a box, and we were concerned about creasing but we rolled it up for one night, then placed it under the bed and we don't notice any creasing and the corners lay flat. It vacuums nicely and doesn't leave any vacuum lines. It's a little more black/white than we expected, and there is a touch of brown in it. The attached pic was taken on a mostly sunny day in a room with natural light, we have lots of grays and gray adjacent hues in the room, and our brown brindle dog for reference to how subtle the brown in the carpet is. I fought against my urge to get a light rug to go with this dark couch, but the brown is the PERFECT complement. I am so happy they carried square sizing in this rug.
