We needed a living room rug that would blend in with our floral chairs and accent the room nicely. We like rugs with thicker piles. This rug worked perfectly. This pad, for my new wool rug, made a real difference in the feel of the rug. It has just the right thickness and grip. The size was a bit larger than 8x10, but that was easily taken care of with an ordinary pair of scissors. It will probably take a day or so the completely flatten out.
