I fought against my urge to get a light rug to go with this dark couch, but the brown is the PERFECT complement. I am so happy they carried square sizing in this rug. We needed a living room rug that would blend in with our floral chairs and accent the room nicely. We like rugs with thicker piles. This rug worked perfectly. The colors are muted enough to not fight with our chairs. It is a bit more yellowish than the picture showed but it works for us. The carpet layer smooth from the beginning.
