This is a God send! My mom has mobility issues and this ramp has made a huge difference in her independence and confidence. She's using a walker and her first words were 'Stairs won't stop me now'. Made my heart smile!! Only 4 stars only because on the directions were very sparse. The diagrams didn't make the ramp I bought. It didn't even list the number of items you should have - bolts, washers, nuts, etc. You had to just hope you had the right number. Thank goodness I did. I had a friend come help finish it up and mount it. Took probably about 2.5 hours. Not hard, just double checking it was done right since directions were not clear. Appears to be relatively heavy-duty and well made. It is certainly long enough to serve as we expected for our old fat beagle to use to get up into my truck, on the couch and possibly onto the bed again. Rocky has arthritis in his hips and we do a lot of lifting of his aft end to get him up the back steps, into the truck and onto the couch. The ramp is long enough to make the grade favorable and not so steep he cannot negotiate most "climbs" as needed. The ramp is very compact when collapsed, yet quite strong when extended for use.
