This was an experience. First, I couldn’t clear the utility lines at my house but my friend’s deck was perfect. We started out confident, but it didn’t last. The wrenching apparatus was our downfall. In the end we decided to forgo the winch process and hung it only using the locking mechanisms. The sail is great. It feels strong yet pliable and it’s the perfect shade of summer red. With the prolonged winter in the mid-Atlantic, it finally got warm enough to install this. This is an extremely well-made and equipped sail. The material looks really good, and it is substantial, fairly heavy grade. The material is porous, so don't look for this to resist rain. All the hardware is provided. You don't have to go to the hardware store for anything. The ratcheting winches were easy to install and they do the job. The mounting rings on the sail and the edge wire reinforcements are solid and look like they will hold up under the stress of wind that the sail will undoubtedly need to endure. We love this so far!.
