My 20-year old shower was leaking out the shower head even after replacing the mixer cap (rotating valve). Then I bought this, the pressure balancing unit (PBU) and after replacing both, there are no leaks and it works better than new. Kohler will say that this PBU is not the solution to a leaky shower head, but it was for me. Watch the Kohler installation video and buy both this PBU and the temperature regulator and you will be good as new. The parts change out quickly and easily with simple tools. These brass pulls are the all-time best. I originally sourced these for my kitchen remodel from a local boutique hardware store. Then when we were renovating the second phase, master bathroom, I wanted to use them again for custom-built barn doors. They are shoe stopper. Solid brass. Don’t show any finger prints. Are heavy and VERY high quality. I cannot say enough great things about these pulls. Beautiful looking faucet. I wish the handles had an H and C identifiers /stamps. Also, some of the threads looked a little rough, so I hope these won’t be an issue (they are not installed yet). The pictures show that the faucet can be flipped upside down/360°, but I can’t see how. Maybe it will make more sense once it’s installed. The only other gripe I have is that the handles aren’t perfectly straight in the X position.
