This is my fourth purchase of the same item. I use it to surround my covered patio when I don’t want the sun coming in. The light color let the light come in. This fourth one was much easier to install than the first three. The only reason I had to buy a fourth was because a tree limb came down on one of the older ones. They hold up very well to winds. These are great. Purchased 4 to install around pool enclosure for privacy and to block sun in evening. Easy to install with right tools. Not too heavy, relatively sturdy construction. Came with stainless steel washers, but lag screws were only zinc coated, so I purchased stainless steel 5/16 bolts instead that will not rust. I cut to fit gray rubber cover base (see photos) from HD to fit under base plates for added stability, to prevent contact from water and chlorine, prevent water from intruding into anchor holes, and for leveling posts. It is recommended that the awnings are used only during sunny weather and to avoid the use of the awning during poor weather conditions such as rain, snow, high winds, etc. The performance of awning is durable and can withstand high winds up to 35mph.
