I bought two of these corbels. I painted them with acrylics, in 3 layers ( espresso bean in the deep areas, khaki over the remaining surfaces, and lightly dry brushed onto the espresso bean, then lightly dry brushed on a snow white. Finally sprayed with a clear sealant. They are gorgeous! (If you plan to stain them you need to test it where it will not show first.
