This beautiful bath tub has been a labor of love - the process of choosing one that is. I looked at more modern styles by Victoria + Albert, and in person I was pretty disappointed with the volcanic limestone. It felt like cheap plastic to me & my husband. It could be fantastic, but it just felt cheap. I decided I wanted something more solid and classic in both look & feel. Cheviot has been a wonderful company to work with. I chose the custom exterior color “Midnight Navy” by Benjamin Moore, and I absolutely love it! Our home remodel and bathroom extension is still underway, so I haven’t had the tub installed yet. I have however sat in it many times, and it’s very comfortable. I do wish I would have gone for the longer size. I am 5’6 1/2”. We've had this for about a year now and I have no complaints. If I could do it again, I would just get the basic version without the ledge for the accessories. We almost never use these accessories and the ledge is just something else to be cleaned. It's awkward to use the cutting board because the sink is undermounted to 2cm stone.
