This beautiful bath tub has been a labor of love - the process of choosing one that is. I looked at more modern styles by Victoria + Albert, and in person I was pretty disappointed with the volcanic limestone. It felt like cheap plastic to me & my husband. It could be fantastic, but it just felt cheap. I decided I wanted something more solid and classic in both look & feel. Cheviot has been a wonderful company to work with. I chose the custom exterior color “Midnight Navy” by Benjamin Moore, and I absolutely love it! Our home remodel and bathroom extension is still underway, so I haven’t had the tub installed yet. I have however sat in it many times, and it’s very comfortable. I do wish I would have gone for the longer size. I am 5’6 1/2”. The glass overhanging the counter is a great feature add too. Downsides: it was very frustrating to install this extremely heavy appliance just to set it up and see that they offered little spacers for the tiny gaps in the back--I didn't get to use them because I would've had to pull the range out again completely. I sticker saying "stop! Before install install spacers" would've been nice! Having a baking drawer like kitchenaid offers would be awesome instead of just a warming drawer on the bottom. And lastly.
