The good: these are solid wood organizers, and they feel sturdy and of good quality. They are all modular, so if you order more than one, as we did, you can mix and match drawers to customize the ratio of drawers to shelves. Also, you can build it in multiple configurations to match your needs and closet size and shape. They do look great in the closet. Now the not so good: First of all, if you’re hoping for a nice ash blonde color like the photo, you’ll be disappointed. These units are ORANGE. They’re fine, it’s not a dealbreaker, but wow, what a difference from the photo. Another con is that if you buy multiple units of different types, get ready for a major puzzle solving challenge. The drawers are shipped in separate boxes and there are no labels on the boxes or information on the John Louis website that tells you which box goes with which unit. Wayfair customer service couldn’t help at all. Our confusion was compounded by the fact that when we finally figured it all out, we discovered that two drawers were missing from the shipment. Finally, you have to be pretty handy to assemble them. My husband is a fine woodworker and even for him there was a long learning curve on the first one. He also had trouble attaching the drawer glides—the small screws didn’t sink in straight and continually drifted off the grooved guides on the sides of the drawers. It might be that the wood grain has soft and harder bands so the screws naturally drift into the softer areas. The first drawer took forever to fit to the frame and when we finally got it in, the soft close mechanism didn’t work. But the second drawer seems to work as promised.. Anonymous. IL. We had spent a lot of money on a large under mount hand hammered copper metal sink and i was concerned about the weight of the sink being carried by just the cabinet. i found these online and took a shot at them. very stout piece of metal and nice construction. I bought 4 systems for my master closet. Two with doors and drawers and two with open shelves and drawers. I love the quality of the product. Instruction booklets are thorough but the videos are outstanding really helpful. I designed my own configuration. There are 6’ double hanging racks on a wall that isn’t pictured. I have 8 and 10” drawers on each tower. The drawers are nice and roomy. You need to read the product description carefully to know exactly what you are getting. Instruction very clear (words not just drawings). Wood is solid pine so can ding easily during installation if not careful. If you take your time with the installation, you’ll be very happy with quality. My installer originally thought that this would be more hood than what I needed, having two fans within. One tricky bit, my ceilings are only 8 ft tall so my installer had to size it down, but it comes with plenty of housing to make it work for taller walls. After using if for several months now I can confidently say that it was the perfect choice for both size and power. I cook a lot and my biggest issue was always when I would cook steaks, brown roasts, etc... The whole house would inevitably fill with smoke, wed open windows, turn on fans and my husband would have to man the smoke detectors. Im so grateful to have a vent now blowing OUT of the house. There are several power settings on the fan for small jobs versus the big ones and it works really well. There are also two brightness settings on the lights which is a nice feature.
