I really like this desk. I think its great. However, I only recommended it for those ready for the technical and physical challenges and have the skills, time, and patience for assembling things like this. The instructions describe the general order of assembly and are insufficient on certain details. It comes in five boxes, so be sure to do a complete inventory before starting. I spent more than 24 hours (with break times) for unpacking, inventory, and assembly, including getting the drawers and doors operating smoothly to running, wrapping, and placement of power, video, and data cables so that they are just right. The instructions to attach the armrests and the footrest were missing but it was easy to figure out by looking at the illustrations. I absolutely love this desk! It is even more beautiful in person than I expected. The quality is excellent — very sturdy, well-built, and clearly designed to last. The drawers are spacious and glide smoothly, giving me plenty of room to organize everything without clutter. I initially planned to purchase a cabinet for all the extra supplies and paperwork I had but everything bits so nicely in this desk and on the shelves enabling me to keep everything close and eliminating the need for an additional cabinet. It honestly feels like a high-end piece of furniture. Now that I see the craftsmanship and quality, I completely understand why it was on backorder.
