I repurposed a space that used to be a breakfast area off the kitchen and made it i to into a keeping room instead. Exactly what I needed as far as size, sturdiness, and looks, but I just wiped off the top and a whole section of varnish wiped right off. Easy to put together. Lighter weight than I thought so it moves around easily … sometimes a good thing sometimes not such a good thing. Yes 4 people can sit and eat with plates and beverages and a salt shaker in the center but everyone is sitting close enough to see the pores in each other’s faces. No room for serving dishes so we eat buffet style. Not a problem for two or even three at the table. The “cracks” in the table top that simulate wood slats are just food crumb collectors so cleaning means getting a potato brush or toothpick to scrape them out when you wipe it off … best to use a table cloth.
