It also packs up in the provided bag really easily, and the bag has lots of straps so you can pack it up really tight. It does get pretty warm. I haven’t taken it out on a cold weather trip yet, but I’ll be curious to see how it does. I don’t think it’s going to work in the coldest weather on earth, but for those chilly nights at the edge of the season it will do well. I only wish the cord was a bit longer, but that might be good so you aren’t wrapped up in a lot of wires (it depends on what you are plugging it into how long you’ll need, of course). This towel warmer is really nice and it works well. I like that it folds down to a nice compact size for storage. I will say I assumed the folding down for storage would be easier and that I would do it between each use, but it requires popping out the 4 supports and unscrewing the legs, so its a little too inconvenient for me personally to do each time. Finally a "hot glove" that I can use with confidence. Ive used similar products before with mixed results but these change the game.
