I love this light fixture for outside of my house. I have no electrical outlets in the front of my house so this is exactly what I needed. I wanted it located on our back porch where we entertain so once my adult son moved it there, I had no concerns about it being blown over. We have had several late summer storms and I do believe it is hurricane-proof. It has not moved a bit. It is attractive so I am happy about it being seen on our porch.
