This was an experience. First, I couldn’t clear the utility lines at my house but my friend’s deck was perfect. We started out confident, but it didn’t last. The wrenching apparatus was our downfall. In the end we decided to forgo the winch process and hung it only using the locking mechanisms. The sail is great. It feels strong yet pliable and it’s the perfect shade of summer red. Crafted from stainless steel, these rods offer excellent wind and corrosion resistance, making them a perfect, durable choice for various garden sunshades.

Nice quality material but design not well thought out. Pole sections do not bolt together. They fit onto the top of each one below. There is definite concern that a wind load on the sail could pull the pole apart with potentially catastrophic results (if the sail is blown around with a heavy top section of pole attached). Can’t understand why the sections would not bolt together, especially since the bottom screw tipped section does not screw into the ground deep enough to effectively anchor the pole for a sail. If they bolted together, you could turn the 2nd bolted section to drive the 1st section deeper into the ground. Didn’t anyone think about that?? Seems obvious.. Elizabeth. Bay Head, NJ. I wanted to get this installed as soon as possible but as one end requires a post that needs to be cemented required digging near underground lines, we need to wait for "Miss Dig" to show up to let us know it's safe. However, as we all know what shade sails look like I wanted to take a minute to talk about the construction. This is hefty. The ends are crafted with a double row of stitching with upholstery thread (10x the strength as regular sewing thread), the fabric isn't one color but a mix of white and maize which adds a depth to it and will hide dirt better than a solid beige color, fabric is thick and sturdy, and the fact it comes with all the installation hardware is a bonus.
