I do not advise hanging cast iron from the top. The dividers on the bottom are only for medium to large size pots and pans because otherwise they would fall through the divider. These were relatively easy to assemble. The design for the clothes hanging bars was a little questionable as they move around once assembled. In my opinion, these racks were just a little lightweight in comparison to wire racks I have bought and used in the past. I also think they should be just a little taller. When hanging clothes on the hanging bars (one above the other), another inch or two would have provided some separation between the bottom of the clothes on the top and bottom levels.
