I have a unique setup where I have 2 queen beds together because I sleep with my 2 great danes and 1 great pyrenees. I needed to be sure this bed was supportive, with some bounce , because straight memory foam doens't hold up to the amount of weight that could be on the bed. THIS IS AMAZING. Not as thick as I had hoped, closer to a thick mattress cover. Not much different from a down blanket, really. Still, it’s a great deal for something that is great for your health due to it being hypoallergenic and good for your skin! It’s basically a nice topper for firming up a foam mattress, or adding a hypoallergenic layer overtop something that’s not rated as being very “green”. We first tried this over a firm latex pad, and it did not add much noticeable improvement in thickness or softness. Next, we tried this down pad over a 2 inch thick foam pad, and it made all the difference! I am not at all a fan of foam pads. However, using this topper over the foam pad makes the foam less susceptible to sinking! Love it! This is a really nice mattress topper! It was super easy to take out the box and was easy to assemble it on to the bed. It is very plush and soft which goes great with a firmer mattress. This mattress pad showed up shrink packaged so it does expand some when you open up the packaging. I spread the pad out to air it out for about a day before running it through our washing machine’s gentle cycle and dried it on low heat as per the instruction’s. I replaced our current mattress pad with this new one which has elastic all the way around to keep it secure. I immediately noticed it had more loft than the former pad and it felt very smooth and cool to the touch. After having slept on the mattress pad now for several weeks my wife and I can agree it definitely makes our bed more comfortable and a cooler rest at night for her especially. It’s also waterproof.
