This dehumidifier keeps my 700 sq foot apartment humidity levels below 50% -- if not on, the humidity climbs to the high 70s! It's not very loud--just a little white noise in the background that doesn't interfere with TV, music, conversations, etc. I do have to empty the tank every day (sometimes 2x), but it's easy to take out and dump in my sink so not a problem. My previous dehumidifier was the smaller version and ran continuously for almost a year, but then stopped working. I was refunded the amount I paid for that one, and in turn bought this one. I installed this exhaust about 4 months ago by a professional company. Installation didn't take long time. We were very curious if it will do its jobs properly. We are very satisfied with the performance of this exhaust. When my wife cook South Asian food with spices, smell spread in whole house downstairs and upstairs. Impressive sound ratings (providing exceptional through-the-floor and footfall noise protection) make this underlayment the ideal underlayment to be installed under LVT, LVF, and MLF flooring; with an STC rating of 62, IIC rating of 70, and Delta IIC of 28.
