Very nice bed, the only downside is the mattress lays flat (there is no lip on the edge) so the mattress slides very easily. Looking to possibly install something to keep it from moving. I read reviews and was pretty intimidated when I started building, but everything went well. I had all of the correct parts, and I found the directions clear. Looks amazing, was pretty easy to put together with just myself (39 male). After considering numerous guest bed options, happy that I chose this Twin XL daybed with trundle. It did take several hours to put together, but i studied instructions carefully, took my time, and had assistance from a helper when needed. The metal frame is sturdy and attractive. A 10” XL Twin mattress is on the way for the top. “Test” sleeping on the raised trundle with a new 8” gel memory foam mattress from Wayfair was very comfortable, better than I expected, and no noticeable squeaking. With a thick mattress pad to give a little “fluff” to the “firm” mattress, it still slides easily under the main frame. The trundle has two screws that fit into slots on the main frame to create a “King” for two adult guests. I hope to minimize the 2” difference in mattresses with different thickness of mattress pads. Great purchase for the price. Swapped beds for my high schooler and he was excited about the floating bed look and led lighting. Solid sturdy metal frame with basic MDF headboard. We put it together in just over two hours with a break, with him taking the lead on the build and me just assisting. If assembling myself it would have likely been around 1hr assembly time. The frame is extremely sturdy once assembled and so far doesn’t shift or squeak. He’s in love with the look and all the lighting options with the LED remote.
