Each shower base has a thick layer of hi-gloss acrylic that is non-porous, attractive, and resists mold and mildew growth making the Valley product hygienic and perfect for your home. The acrylic surface sheet is reinforced with a proprietary resin material which is covered by a layer of Canadian wood and another layer of proprietary resin material to reinforce the base and eliminate the flexing experienced in other products. There are many inexpensive upgrades you can change in your bathroom later, but you want to put the very best shower base or tub in your bath to ensure no leaks and save the expense of having to replace the unit later. Valley Acrylic provides the very best tubs and shower bases in the market. The single threshold shower base is used with three walls with an open front for a shower door or curtain. The threshold is 3" wide and 4" tall to allow for a standard shower door installation and tall enough to work well with a shower curtain. The Valley Acrylic shower bases have a tall and strong tile flange around each wall side to allow for the extra overhang of the wallboard to ensure a leak-free installation. This fantastic eco-friendly shower base includes a slip-resistant floor for added safety and a convenient offset right linear drain with a matching cover that accepts a standard 3.25" shower drain. The offset drain allows for the easy replacement of a bathtub with this shower base without having to move the drain to the center of the shower base. The linear drain design provides an attractive matching cover to conceal the drain unit providing a clean and uninterrupted appearance of the shower.
