This unit works great! It heats up quickly and the steam output is consistent. The only thing I would change is a gauge on the water tank so you can see how much water is in the reservoir. I just received my steamer and am trying it out on my tough linen jumpsuit. I just finished pressing my linen jumpsuit and I must say that the steamer does put out a good amount of steam and the jumpsuit was pressed to my satisfaction. Being 50 and running a house now of 4 adults, laundry has become a greater part of my day made even more difficult with the invention of the HE WASHERS, where loads take hours now not minutes. Ironing would back up on me like a monster in the basement waiting for me to slay. In the past few years, I have thrown away so many irons, some of them costing 2-300 dollars! All garbage after just a few months of my use. I know what some people would do, they would ditch ironing and move on with life wearing wrinkles or polyester fabrics. That is not for me. I just can’t do it. This iron was a real SPLURGE for me. I have never asked my husband for anything this expensive. Money is tight. I even told him to buy me a refurbished iron, just to save some dollars. So I asked him for this for Christmas and forgot all about it. Come Christmas, I was surprised and hopeful that my refurbished new iron would finally release me from the basement shackled to my ironing board. Lo and behold, this machine has cut my ironing IN HALF!!!!! I thank God for this machine and urge anyone who has a heart for their family like I do to make sure each of them goes out the door looking their best and feeling cared for in every way to make an investment in one of these machines. You will not regret it. It saves time and money because it is so effective. The only thing I would consider if I ever decide to do this again is buy one that has a place connected to the pressure box that can rest the iron. It might be more money but it would be worth it. I’ve been using this iron for a few weeks now, and it’s honestly made ironing way less annoying. The soleplate glides really smoothly, even over thicker fabrics like jeans, and it doesn’t snag or stick. It heats up pretty fast, which is great when I’m in a rush. The steam is strong enough to get out stubborn wrinkles without having to go over the same spot ten times. I also like the pointed tip for getting around buttons and collars. Cleaning it is easy too.
