As our counter is shaving height (with the vanity just a few inches lower), a standard height seat was too short; I needed one that had adjustable height features that didn't scream "office chair." This Matthias Task Chair is just what I needed. Without arm rests, it pushes in almost flush with the counter so that there's still ample room to walk between the tub and the chair. I like that it has casters so that I'm not sliding wood or metal across my new tile floor. And, I wanted something in blue and chrome, which was not easy to find. I do wish it were a tad bit deeper in the seat, but I'm only in it for about 20-minutes max per day to put on make-up; comfort was not my priority. I really like this chair! It has a firm back and is comfortable to sit in. I like also how you can adjust the legs so that the chair doesn't wobble. It has a smaller profile than a typical office chair, so I can slide it under the desk when I'm not using it. The directions were straightforward, and it was easy to assemble - it took me about 10 minutes by myself only because you have to be careful not to screw the seat in all the way to make sure the four screws that hold the seat in place line up with the holes (and then tighten everything up at the end). While the accent stool is well constructed, I took off one star as the color shown for the cream colored “Almond” is much darker! It is greytaupe colored (see photos). It looks nothing like the photo of it online. I actually contacted the manufacturer because I thought they sent me the wrong color.
