I chose Polywood for no maintenance, heavyweight, and longevity. I assembled this myself. No issues. Best advice is to not tighten all the screws so you are able to move pieces a little while assembling. Then go through and tighten all when complete. Followed instructions. All hardware included. 7/9/26: update - Customer service has been excellent, responsive and happy with resolution. Voiced my complaint with them and they are replacing the frame for the couch. Can't complain about that. I'll update again if there are no issues with this frame. Outside of that issue, the other pieces are great and very comfortable. OG review: Very disappointed. Had high hopes since my mom has had a plywood set for years and it's quality. Struggled with the idea of spending so much but decided it would be worth it for a quality set that would last for years. Well, that thought was ended the first time we sat on the couch. First off, assembly was a breeze. I completed by myself in a few hours, taking my time because it was extremely hot. But the next morning, went out to have coffee, husband sat on couch, leaned forward to pick up his cup and we heard a pop. He joked about my shotty work putting it together but when we looked we saw it was the prefabricated piece that had broke. IDK if it's just glued together there but it was not strong enough for him to lean forward to grab his coffee. Now, he isn't a tiny guy but he's not huge either, weighes about 220 so in my mind this "quality" furniture should be able to support that. Not sure what kind of customer service help we can get since I am not disassembling everything to send back. Just very surprised and disappointed in Polywood. I love the maintenance free, weather resistant polywood. I have had them outside on the exposed patio for going on 4 years. Unfortunately, we noticed cracks just above the chair arms on the back. The build quality feels very solid and durable—it definitely doesn’t have that flimsy plastic feel. Once you sit down, it feels stable and well-balanced. The reclining angle is comfortable, making it perfect for relaxing in the backyard or just soaking up some sun. The armrests are a great addition. They provide good support and make it much easier to get in and out of the chair. Another big plus is the material—it’s weather-resistant, so I don’t have to worry about rain or sun exposure, and it requires almost no maintenance. Overall, it looks great, feels comfortable, and seems like it will last for years. Definitely one of those purchases that makes you wonder why you didn’t get it sooner. The set is great. Comfy. Good Looking. Fairly light weight. Seems like the Polywood will be very durable. Easy to put together. Each of the back pieces has 4 holes for screws, 2 on the bottom and 2 midway up. One complaint - one of the back pieces had a production defect. It had holes drilled on the top instead of the bottom. And there is only one way it can sit, so you could not flip it. So this piece only has screws screwed in on the bottom. One of the photos is the defect and one of the photos is correct.
