Pleasant Hearth non-catalytic wood burning stoves will warm your home with highly efficient and effective zone heating. All Pleasant Hearth wood burning stove feature a brick lined firebox, chrome handles, and an air wash system that automatically maintains the cleanliness of the glass window. The front-loading solid cast iron door with large ceramic glass viewing area and stainless-steel ash lip makes it easy to refuel with seasoned cord firewood up to 18 inches long.

For the price of $809 and free shipping this was worth it for me. Having said that, there are issues. The ash drops through a chute BEHIND and underneath the unit. I have not figured out what can be put back there to collect ashes. It will have to be a wide short metal bucket of some type. I think this should have been mentioned and provided or be for optional order. Then there is the ridiculous excuse for an owners/instruction manual. How hard would it have been to expand that just a little...for instance...I do not know what the lever in front underneath the firebox is for...I assume for dropping ash.......then there is the problem of .....is the back position closing up the ash drop, or is the forward position that causes ash to drop? The unit was built in November of 2025 and arrived Dec 15, 2025 but all that notes that on the metal sheet from the back is a dimple in a box, and for the model number. I might have bought a different make of wood stove had I known all the above for $100 more plus the separate purchase of a blower....and all of them seemed to be out of stock. First, I have an arched fireplace opening, and I was told that these doors would not fit on it. After taking extensive measurements and figuring out all the angles and opening sizes, I was confident this would fit. The package came in great shape, and all the parts, nuts, bolts, and accessories were in the box. The doors fit into the opening, and the arch was covered, which was a great relief. Using the brackets provided, and because of the arch, I decided to drill holes with my rotary hammer and screw the door brackets into the masonry brick. Everything fit perfect and the doors were secured in place. I added the screens, and the job was done. For a square fireplace, I would highly recommend these doors.
