For the price of $809 and free shipping this was worth it for me. Having said that, there are issues. The ash drops through a chute BEHIND and underneath the unit. I have not figured out what can be put back there to collect ashes. It will have to be a wide short metal bucket of some type. I think this should have been mentioned and provided or be for optional order. Then there is the ridiculous excuse for an owners/instruction manual. How hard would it have been to expand that just a little...for instance...I do not know what the lever in front underneath the firebox is for...I assume for dropping ash.......then there is the problem of .....is the back position closing up the ash drop, or is the forward position that causes ash to drop? The unit was built in November of 2025 and arrived Dec 15, 2025 but all that notes that on the metal sheet from the back is a dimple in a box, and for the model number. I might have bought a different make of wood stove had I known all the above for $100 more plus the separate purchase of a blower....and all of them seemed to be out of stock. It's exactly what my wife wanted, and she's happy with it. For installation, the gas line and the electrical wire have to share a very small space at the bottom in the back. Advice: Don't try to use a gas line that's longer than 36" (1m). Both a 3-prong and a 4-prong electrical wire were included. I absolutely love this model. Cooking and baking have been very consistent. The design is sleek and clean. The controls are easy to use and the features are wonderful. Bakes so well, too. It preheats quickly and stays at an even temperature throughout. Mine is convert to LP and I have had no problems with either cooking or baking. I really like the way I can tap on the oven door, and it lights up inside without having to open the door more importantly the glass is crustal clear so I can clear see inside. Very happy with my propane stove. Heats the main floor of my home (approximately 1,200 sq ft) quickly and efficiently. I do keep my bedroom doors closedmostly closed during the day to conserve heat. I have a wall mounted heater in the basement and am so much happier with this stove. The interior hood is angled in such a way to convect heat forward when coming out. The wall mounted one goes straight to the ceiling. I did not purchase the optional blower. With the help of a ceiling fan on reverse, it spreads the heat even quicker. The gas range is very powerful, the iron grill is sturdy and offers a flat top (no pot or pan wiggling!) for the entire range. This feature is helpful in a small kitchen with limited counter space. Other reviewers are correct when saying the temperature dial needs to be set above the needed temp to get a correct preheat. Remedy with a hanging oven thermometer. Do not, I repeat, Do not get the ‘GE Installation’ service with this appliance. Even if you buy an installation kit. The technician will come in, excuse in hand, and will tell you that any dust, or light green on the gas pipe disallows them to service the installation. (When plumbers test for gas leaks upon installation they spray a little water on the line, leading to a light green) Be ready with your own plumber on the day of delivery.
