This beam is constructed out of ¾” thick Aspen wood and is 6 1/2" tall. You choose the length and depth. Each piece of wood is unique and will have more or less character/knots than the other. It is designed to look like a solid beam without weight. The distressed beams are painted either black or white and have the edges sanded over and a brown stain/wax applied for a distressed look. The distressed beams will not be a solid color. Easy to install utilizing a French cleat mounting bracket which is included. Screws are not included. You will need to purchase 3" screws for the application you will be attaching the bracket to. Wood is considered a combustible material. Heat clearances must be adhered to. If installing over a fireplace, check your local building codes and the manufacturer's instructions for your specific fireplace insert or stove.

Absolutely love it. So much nicer than I was expecting. Heavy duty, does not look or feel cheap. Took a couple hours to put together, but I completely glossed over the part of the instructions when it said to only screw some of the screws in by 80%. Make sure to follow that part - you need to be able to have a little give in order to get some of the other pieces into place correctly. Once you pass that step, then it tells you to go back and screw them to 100%. That probably would’ve saved me about half an hour, but that’s user error, lol. I would 100% recommend.. Dina. Provincial, 6.5" H x 72" W x 8" D

This beam is constructed out of ¾” thick Aspen wood and is 6 1/2" tall. You choose the length and depth. Each piece of wood is unique and will have more or less character/knots than the other. It is designed to look like a solid beam without weight. The distressed beams are painted either black or white and have the edges sanded over and a brown stain/wax applied for a distressed look. The distressed beams will not be a solid color. Easy to install utilizing a French cleat mounting bracket which is included. Screws are not included. You will need to purchase 3" screws for the application you will be attaching the bracket. Corbels will increase the total height of the beam to 13". The corbels have been pre-drilled and include screws. You will need to attach the corbels to the beam upon receipt. Wood is considered a combustible material. Heat clearances must be adhered to. If installing over a fireplace, check your local building codes and the manufacturer's instructions for your specific fireplace insert or stove.
