Great bed for a little girl! My daughter has been wanting a canopy bed and after several weeks of reviewing, we chose this one. It took my husband about 3 hours to assemble as it is very involved, but the instructions were well written. My biggest complaint is the 2 additional storage bins at the bottom of the bed, they aren’t actually attached to the bed, but rather, attach to a “hook” to stay in place and are a bit difficult to pull in and out as there is a specific way to remove the drawers from said hook. Everything is good enough. It is very sturdy. There were a couple of really annoying instructions-related mistakes I made that are obvious once you get far enough in the assembly process but not obvious when you're just following the instructions. There is a velcro thing that's not on the right side of something, and there is no way the something should be flipped because it's bolted in a specific way. Not super consequential. The biggest issue, and the reason I almost returned, is a huge gap between the headboard shelves and the top of the mattress. Like a kid's head sized gap. My kid moves all around in her sleep, and clearly a lot of kids do, hence the railing-- and it's not out of the realm of possibility that she'll get her head into this gap, so I have to stuff pillows in there to secure it. The LED light cords are also right behind the gap (not in pic bc they weren't hooked up yet) which isn't ideal. Silly design flaw here, imo. There should just be something that closes this gap.. Okay, finally got this thing together for Christmas. It was VERY simple to put together. I did it just me. They have one of the bolts mislabeled in the directions but it was easy to figure out.
