I purchased this desk for a basic gamingwork setup and it does exactly what I needed it to do. Assembly was pretty straightforward and didn’t take long, even doing it solo. The instructions were clear and all the parts were included. The size is great for smaller spaces but still has enough surface area for a monitor, keyboard, and accessories without feeling cramped. I am not going to lie. I was leery, but my expectations were exceeded just on the packaging alone! Took me about an hour to put together, instructions were easy-ish to follow. The operation is smooth, very quiet when moving up/down. The wiring threw me off a bit, as the light controller is in the box with the desk and everything else is in the box with the frame. I am very pleased, it feels sturdy. Caution, the box with the frame is much heavier than expected, but you can tell quality went into the making. Didn't have to program the motors or calibrate them. The cup holder is a nice touch for sure! I do wish it came with a PC tower holder, but there was room on top for the desktop. I am a developer, not a gamer, but it's perfect for my setup! The price is higher than many of the others but I chose this one, because the top is a solid piece and not split like a majority of the others. I bought this desk a few years ago & am just now reviewing. Fun fact - I am typing this review from this exact desk. It's looking a bit warn these days, a few scratches in the surface & one banged up spot on the drawer where I have a habit of spinning my chair into. But for a simple home office, it works great. I DO recommend the desk as long as you can accept the "CONS" I list. CONS; 1. IMPORTANT, The ledge is not wide enough to safely/securely place the stand of larger monitors. Unless you use a monitor arm I would not recommend this desk if you use anything above a 24" external monitor. 2. The 20" depth might be just a little too short if you are using a laptop with the lid open and an external monitor placed on the desk or ledge. 3. LEDs are not nearly as bright as pictures show. SO-SO The soft side drawers work but not something to brag about. I expected this so wasn't surprised. PROs I'm impressed at how sturdy it is for a light weight desk. Assembly was fairly straight forward as were the instructions that are pretty well written. Everything fit together well and assembly took less than 2 hours with two people. Finals thoughts. If you are using an external monitor I would suggest you consider NOT installing the ledge and use a monitor arm to get the most useable desk space. I did keep the ledge but might remove it later.. Received my desk over the past weekend. It was easy and sturdy to put together, they did include a mini hand screwdriver (but I used a drill to make things quicker). Lights work great with the remote. However, I will note that the app is either outdated or does not work. So if you are looking to play music or have specific colors flashing/a specific color gradient then you can’t do that. I don’t need it nor do I mind not having it, but it does disappoint me to know part of the price of the desk was for that feature. Haven’t reached out to pursue partial refund, but that’s ok!.
