I have been coveting this hammock stand for months, while simultaneously looking for a more cost effective DIY option. The reality is, this stand is impeccable quality, made locally (to me) and ordering via Wayfair allowed me to make the cost palatable and use payment options to make my dream a reality. The stand does not rock, though you can feel the movement of others shifting in their own hammocks. We have converted our garage into a “hang out” spot with a pool table and karaoke machine etc. We love hanging out in there. Unfortunately, it is not connected with our central heat/air system. We did have a smaller window a/c unit that was just ok, but this one is a game-changer! It has a/c AND heat! Year-round comfort! It’s powerful enough to cool our entire garage (and we live in the South-so it definitely has its work cut out for it). The heater doesn’t exactly heat the whole room when it’s super cold out, but it definitely takes the chill out of the air and warms it sufficiently to make it possible to use the room in winter. We love it! The remote is handy and the timer feature is awesome. It is well-made and the as easy to install. We had to order a sleeve to slide it into, but it was very simple.
