I like to start a review with the packaging. So, it came in a box, very well cared for inside, fragile label on all sides, and it arrived via FedEx in perfect condition. Good job, Fedex!! Upon assembly I noticed it was very straight forward (mechanical mind not necessary), the instructions were clear and written in my language. Looking at this beautiful piece fully assembled made me feel almost awe struck, with its glowing copper eagle, and brass cardinal directions. Solid piece! I've capped the cupola I'm building with it and it made it even more pretty! The only downside that I could find us that it does not come with the mount. Not really a downside though and if I had read the description better I would've known that before the purchase. You will love this piece. This traditionally styled German quartz cuckoo clock accurately keeps time and the cuckoo bird comes out to cuckoo on the hour.. The hand-carved case features five leaves and a bird. Two decorative pine cone weights are suspended beneath the clock case by two chains. On every hour the cuckoo bird emerges from a swinging door above the clock dial and counts the hour by cuckooing once per hour. (Example: At one o'clock the bird will cuckoo once. At eight o'clock the bird will cuckoo eight times). This cuckoo clock has an on/off switch and a light sensor that silences the clock when it is dark. Requires three C size batteries to operate (not included). *Great effort has been made to portray each cuckoo clock as accurately as possible.
