I just love my new cooktop. The design makes it really easy to clean. In terms of performance, I noticed that cook times are a little bit shorter. The gas dial has a wide range, so I can go from very low to high flame. Also having an additional burner is great. I can have multiple meals going at the same time. Just got the microwave set up and working, so time will tell. The MCM1611ST is very similar to a Magic Chef I bought in 2004. The old machine needed some parts, which impressively Magic Chef still sold, but the cost could have approached this new machine. The old machine had an all stainless case and cavity, which these new machines lack. It was also made in Korea, while all the new machines are made in China. We’ve had a less than average stove for quite some time. It was getting the job done but we didn’t really know what we were missing. This thing is amazing! If you simply want an induction range that works well this is the one to buy. You get induction cooking at the price of some other glass top electric ranges. Cooking ok induction is amazing. It looks good and my initial impressions are that it works well. I can't comment on reliability but purchased this product due to LGs recent ascendancy in reliability ratings.. Bobmakespasta.
