The mailbox has a top front hopper door, and receives all types of mail: envelopes (small & large) + poly-bag style mailers + small USPS flat rate boxes and small packages and has 2 bottom locking doors one in the front and one in the back, so you can retrieve mail without stepping into the street. It's beautiful but quite disppointed that it arrived dented and there is paint missing where it is dented. The dent also created a gap on the from of the mailbox. Also, the description said it came with the post. After waiting over a month for the mailbox to arrive, it arrived without the post and dented.
