Sunguard UV protectant spray helps extend the life of garden & outdoor decor. The superior UV inhibitors protect against color fading, peeling, and cracking. When dried it has a clear finish, unlike polyurethane products, which will leave a sticky yellowish residue. Unfortunately, most garden decor comes directly from the manufacturer without UV protection leaving your outdoor investment "exposed". Outdoor decor needs sunscreen too!

This is a great raised garden bed. We did get chicken wire and put it under the entire structure, so moles and gophers couldn't come up through it, and believe me they have tried. The flaps are great when harvesting the back side of the plants. I didn't give this a 5 star, because the gate doesn't stay shut without propping something on it or placing a rock pile under it. Perfect for my mini Urban garden. Easy to put together, I had it together by myself in an hour or just over. Being new to growing any type of food, and with limited space, this raised bed looks lovely and has enough space for several plants. I am very happy with this product, a little adjustment to make sure it was straight and tight before filling it up ensured it's not bulging out wards after filling. It been filled now for over a month with no bulging out the sides. It fit in a space perfectly that was unusable for anything else really, so growing something here was perfect. I do love the look of it as it is in my front garden, we live in a neighborhood so I needed something that looked nice. It is a bit hidden from street view. I added a few arch trellis to it, great for providing shade and netting, and if I get tired of growing veggies I can always grow flowering vines. I highly recommend this raised bed. This planter is beautiful and looks to be very well made and durable. I suspect it will last through several Chicago winters. I wish I had known that there is no "bottom" to the container - as we intend to use it on a rooftop deck. This planter is meant to be placed over soil. I also wish they would provide a way to section off the lower part of the planter, so that not so much soil needs to be used.
