I was concerned when it arrived because the box was damaged but luckily none of the parts were. I was able to put it together by myself in about half a day, working on it on and off. The instructions had a few places that were difficult to understand and parts labeled wrong. I would definitely add some basic verbage to the diagrams to make it more clear. Exactly what I wanted for a wall that separates a kitchen from a living area. Additionally, I needed to access the electrical outlets below so I ordered four accent cabinets and I couldn't be happier with the fit. Two inches on either end, these four units replaced a massive display cabinet and a tall display case and provided a lot more room for storage. Very easy to put together, each cabinet came with extra screws, fittings etc. that I can actually put together a fifth unit if I needed it. Adjustable shelves inside allow for lots of different sized items to store. Love the clean lines and it has a nice MCM look to it and blends nicely with a few of my antique pieces. I selected the color "White Alder" and really like the look. These four pieces make it very easy for me to pull out when I need to access the electrical outlets behind and still have the look of being one solid piece. For pre-fab, ready to assemble, furniture, these cabinets are affordable and have a great look to them. My only issue is that the doors don't always hang cleanly across. I've adjusted them as instructed, in the easy to read directions, but not all doors hang evenly, however, this is something I can live with. Short version: It looks great, was mostly easy for 2 people to assemble, has a lot of storage space, and is best used in a low-traffic, low/moderate use area. I also recommend buying it on sale if you can wait. Long version: The good: It’s very attractive and looks more expensive than it is, especially at a distance of a few feet (closer up you can see that it’s particle board/fake wood). The storage space is significant and convenient. Some reviewers have complained about gaps between the doors but if you google “how to adjust overlay hinges,” you can fix that easily. The need-to-know: *If you’ve assembled furniture before, this will be easy. If you’ve never assembled furniture, this has good instructions but give yourself half a day and know that some details are tricky. 2 people is ideal but one can manage with patience and care. Be extremely careful with the pieces, as the particle board is prone to nicks and dings on edges and corners. The doors can be adjusted to look better, but will probably never be perfect, so if that will bother you, be aware! *It has small notches in the top back for cords—pro tip, put your cords in place before you install the top, as the plugs themselves don’t easily fit through. We put a power strip inside using this method and that’s really nice and convenient. *This is NOT for children’s rooms or high-traffic areas, because the particle board WILL get dinged and banged quickly. You also don’t want people putting water glasses on it and it would not be a good surface for plants. *The sides and back go ALL the way down to the floor, which is a little unusual and could make it stick out from the wall more than you want it to, especially if you have wide moulding or cords behind it. It’s a pretty piece! VERY lightweight. Not the highest quality, but for the price can’t complain. Color is really pretty. I am using it to store my vinyl records. Note that the shelf inside is fixed so you can’t adjust. One door is a little crooked. Overall, happy with it. I have kids and animals so I don’t like to buy too high end of furniture and this fits..
