Just perfection, I love it. I have been looking a several different lights for our side room. I wanted something big and bold but not bulky, also something classic I would still like down the road. Found it! I would say it was a little more difficult to install than the steps made it seem. My husband knows electric and still took us about an hour. I added a larger base at the top that I got somewhere else. It goes under the base of the light to add some more dimension. I really love it so much. The price was incredible, I did lots of research on chandler’s and I still can’t believe how good the price point is (look out for a sale too) The black is a true matte black, I used 40 watt chandler bulbs as they said that’s the highest you can go and it’s nice and bright. Absolutely beautiful chandelier. Some of the metal rings for the bulb openings were screwed on too tight so the rubber gasket was squeezing out, so we had to carefully unscrew them and place them place them back. This light is absolutely stunning. It looks extremely high quality. This is the most money I have spent on lighting to date and its totally worth it. We purchased the 24 light for our entry. It is hung with the 20 chain. For perspective, we replaced a 20 year old pile rubbed bronze fixture that was 18 in diameter. I had concerns the new light may over power the space but the scale worked out beautifully in the end. The only concern was the instructions. This chandelier is gorgeous! I have had previous chandeliers for thousands and this rivals it. Very well made. We had 4 crystals broken out of all of them upon opening. I ordered this fixture a couple of years ago. We have been rebuilding after a lighting fire and it’s taken this long to get it installed and we are still not finished with finish work inside. Once the electrical is complete and we pass inspection I will be able to see this fixture on.
