However, the item in the box clearly had already been (at least partially) installed and put back into the box! Customer Reps I spoke with each time were friendly and apologetic. They offered a small discount, but I paid for a new item and wanted a new item, or at least 50% off. They got a new one ordered and although I offered to return the 1st item, they told me to keep it. New ETA came and went and for 8 days status was simply "We are looking into a delay". Finally, 18 days after initial ETA I had to cancel, as the plumber was already scheduled, and we had to have the parts. Ultimately the plumber thought everything looked ok and we ended up using the "used" column. It turned out to be free - ironic since they refused to go higher than 20% discount! No complaints with Wayfair reps on my 4-5 calls, just frustrated that they couldn't tell me why my item was delayed! Product itself does exactly what we need it to and looks great in new shower! Also - Wayfair sent me 55 emails in 1 month requesting this review. (The last few days have been 3 emails within 1 hour each day!) 12 were marked as "FINAL REMINDER". Ha!. Kelly. Omaha, NE. Amazing...I grappled with buying these columns for 2 years, because of the non-refundable policy, so I had to be sure. I have a small porch so I knew I couldnt get the columns to wide or the proportions would look odd. So I used makeshift cardboard and the like to determine what to buy...I made the best decision with the 5.63 width columns they look amazing. My contractor bought 5 wood post from our local big box store and used brackets to install them on the porch. He used his nail gun to fasten each wrap to the wood post, he said it was rather simple to install. Next he caulked all the small nail gun holes and painted ( per instructions for winter protection) looks amazing.
