The recirculation kits performs multi-stage filtration and removes the odor from the gas and smoke that is sucked into the range hood, which removes harmful components and pollutants in the smoke, and effectively solves the problem of using range hoods in houses where the range hood cannot be exhausted. Do not try to clean the charcoal filter in the recirculation kit as it can not be cleaned, Please change the charcoal filter every 4-6 months (depending on hood usage)

When not in use it is flush with the stovetop which helps create a flat seamless flow on the countertop. When we have used it, it works very well. The glass overhanging the counter is a great feature add too. Downsides: it was very frustrating to install this extremely heavy appliance just to set it up and see that they offered little spacers for the tiny gaps in the back--I didn't get to use them because I would've had to pull the range out again completely. I sticker saying "stop! Before install install spacers" would've been nice! Having a baking drawer like kitchenaid offers would be awesome instead of just a warming drawer on the bottom. And lastly. This duct cover extension kit replaces standard duct covers to accommodate up to a 12-foot ceiling height. This kit covers exposed duct work running from the hood to the ceiling while providing a finished look to your range hood. Please check your Zephyr range hood's specification sheet to ensure compatibility.

I looked long and hard for a duct cover that would hide the off center ducting I had because of a new range installation. I need something large enough to span the ducting and create the illusion of being on center if the new 36” range. The cover is heavier gauge stainless steel, thinking it is at least 18 gauge. It will not dent easily and looks like a professional, quality range hood. I have to figure out how to attach it as it is made specifically for Zephyr brand range hoods and came with no additional mounting hardware.
