These French style levers fit 1/4 inch square drive spindle systems commonly found in antique and vintage door hardware sets, and with the two (2) provided square spindles, it can adjust to accommodate doors of different thicknesses. This reinforcement lock is very good quality. It was very easy to install, although I measured wrong the first time and had to move it. This is a universal break-off link arm that makes it possible to adapt to whatever length link arm is needed when installing a louvre or jalousie operator. The locking twist-knob does not require the key to engage the lock. In order to open the hasp, the twist-knob must be unlocked with one of the two keys that are provided with the lock.
