Amazing...I grappled with buying these columns for 2 years, because of the non-refundable policy, so I had to be sure. I have a small porch so I knew I couldnt get the columns to wide or the proportions would look odd. So I used makeshift cardboard and the like to determine what to buy...I made the best decision with the 5.63 width columns they look amazing. My contractor bought 5 wood post from our local big box store and used brackets to install them on the porch. He used his nail gun to fasten each wrap to the wood post, he said it was rather simple to install. Next he caulked all the small nail gun holes and painted ( per instructions for winter protection) looks amazing. This beautiful and realistic-looking expandable hedge completely changed the view from my kitchen window! I am so happy that I am buying a second one for my upstairs balcony. For a larger area, this is so much easier than buying small squares separately and attaching them all. That being said, you do need something to attach the zip ties (which are included) around the bamboo backing to hold this up. If you aren't attaching to a railing with supports, and you're attaching to wood, you could use hand screw-in eyes or even open cup hooks to support this. This took me all of 5 minutes, and it felt secure with only 4 zip ties, but I ended up using a few more because they include 10. For my large area, I needed to expand it all the way out, so if you don't need to go this wide, it will look even fuller. This is heavy-duty and looks very realistic with the bamboo branches and different shades of green. There are both curled and flat leaves.
